The Orbus Vision:

Orbus’ primary aim is to care for orphaned children. We aim to assist local communities in Malawi and surrounding countries through initiating self-sustaining development projects which will help individuals to reverse the cycles and consequences of poverty. Orbus’ motivation comes out of a concern for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of orphaned children. How can you help?

Along with intermittent orphan care provided as and when we are able, Orbus is currently (January 2010) building Stage 1 of a new home and school (Ngumbe) to care for and educate orphaned children. Ngumbe will have a particular emphasis on teaching practical skills to the older children, training them to become initiative-taking, self-sufficient, community-participating and economic-contributing adults, enabling them to earn a living, lead, manage and support their own families, and make a positive contribution to their communities.
