Orbus’ primary aim is to care for orphaned children. We aim to assist local communities in
Along with intermittent orphan care provided as and when we are able, Orbus is currently (January 2010) building Stage 1 of a new home and school (Ngumbe) to care for and educate orphaned children. Ngumbe will have a particular emphasis on teaching practical skills to the older children, training them to become initiative-taking, self-sufficient, community-participating and economic-contributing adults, enabling them to earn a living, lead, manage and support their own families, and make a positive contribution to their communities.
The photos below show some of the Namatete orphans and construction of Orbus' Ngumbe Boarding School in Blantyre, Malawi and where we are growing crops and vegetables to feed orphans in Blantyre.
