The Orbus Vision:
Orbus’ primary aim is to care for orphaned children. We aim to assist local communities through initiating sustainable development projects which will help individuals to reverse the cycles and consequences of poverty. Through primary education, skills development and improving health care Orbus aims to provide long-term enhanced improvements, opportunities and quality of life for local communities. Orbus’ motivation comes out of a concern for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of orphaned children. How can you help?
Along with intermittent orphan care provided as and when we are able, Orbus is currently (January 2010) building Stage 1 of their Ngumbe project to care for and educate orphaned children. Ngumbe will have a particular emphasis on teaching practical skills to the older children, training them to become initiative-taking, self-sufficient, community-participating and economic-contributing adults, enabling them to earn a living, lead, manage and support their own families, and make a positive contribution to their communities. Please support us in this work.
The photos below show some of the Namatete orphans and construction of Orbus' Ngumbe project in Blantyre, Malawi and where we are growing crops and vegetables to feed orphans in Blantyre.
